and beside. you'd better use 乡村 instead of 乡下。乡下 implied a mite discrimination, 乡村 will be neutral.
乡村=village (just a normal village)
乡下=village (a place people live a poor live and feed them self with underdeveloped agriculture,)
Some Chinese might consider theses two words are the same, and interchabgeable.
But some sensitive peaple may be offended when you ask “你是乡下来的吗?”
But from another point of view, you expression is OK
You said "我来自英国的乡下"
Chinese people will probably consider it is a dramatical expression. In our opinion, England is a highly developed country, there is no way that England have 乡下,so people might think your words is some kind of self-deprecation.
Your pronunciation is quite good that I can understand the meaning you wanna present. I wonder would you like to be my language exchange partner?
I’m a Chinese native speaker who’s looking for a language exchange partner to practice English and French. I’m able to help with the speaking, writing or culture.

这是我的第一个中文录音
说得很好!只有一个词有点问题,“村庄”听起来像“村长”。Cunzhuang (small town) sounds like Cunzhang (the head/chief in the town). It can be understood in the context though. 加油~
