Japan is known as a highly ethnically homogeneous country. About 98% of the population is Japanese. The language which is spoken in Japan is mainly Japanese. However, the situation has been changing these days. First of all, more and more Japanese people are interested in foreign cultures and languages. Even though Japanese is our native language, the number of people who speak English as the second language is increasing. Some Japanese study a foreign language other than English.Similarly,as for culture, Japan has been adopting various foreign cultures. In addition, I think the percentage of foreigners in Japan will increase in the future. As the aging population is becoming a problem in Japan, I think there will be a shortage of workers in some industries. As a result , Japan might accept more immigrants in the future.

First of all, more and more Japanese people are interested in foreign cultures and languages. Even though Japanese is our native language, the number of people who speak English is increasing so that English is becoming our second language day by day. Some Japanese studies foreign languages other than English. Similarly, as for culture, Japan has been adopting various foreign cultures. In addition, I think the percentage of foreigners in Japan will increase in near future. As the older population of Japan is becoming a problem for Japan. I think, due to this, there is or will be a shortage of workers in some industries. As a result, Japan might accept more immigrants in the future.

Great writing practice! 😊 "About 98% of the population is Japanese" - Does this mean 98% is ethnically Japanese, or 98% is of the Japanese nationality? Actually, there is a difference between ESL (English as a second language) and EFL (English as a foreign language). ESL is taught to students who are living in an English-speaking country, such as the US or England. EFL is taught to students who are living in a non-English speaking country, such as Japan.

Japan is an ethnically homogeneous country, hence roughly 98% of the population is of Japanese desent. The official language of Japan is primarily Japanese. However, due to globalisation, more Japanese people are interested in foreign cultures and languages. Even though Japanese is the primary language of Japan, there has been a trend of people who know English as a second language. There have also been some Japanese people who have been studying foreign languages other than English. In correlation to Japan's culture, foreign cultures have been influencing or have been integrating into Japanese culture. Based on this, the possibility that the demographics of japan will become more diverse is strong. As the problem of the ageing population in Japan grows, there will most likely be a shortage of workers in some industries. As a result, Japan would be pressured to accept more immigrants in the future.
This is awesome! However I did rephrase the paragraph so that it sounded more formal and fluid. Just for a tip in the future, in an essay, you usually shouldn't address the reader or yourself.
