Friends say it is imposible become fluent in a new language when you are 68 years old. I want to prove them wrong. Then I want to live for a while in another culture not as an expat but as part of that culture.

Same her! Same age, same reasons, same goals. I’m studying Ukrainian and headed there later this month! Good luck to you in fulfilling your dreams and goals!!

Hi Jim. Don't give up. I started learning Portuguese at the age of 70. And now I’m talking to friends in Portugal and Brazil. Mr. Alzheimer is already mad at me.

You can definitely learn any language, any skill,...at any age. My mother who is in her 60s' too, she is preparing for a master degree in psychology and she studies in French while she grew up speaking and teaching Arabic. Go for it and learn whatever you want. As long as we didn't lose our mind, we learn new things every single day... And why not learn a new language 😉 I wish you all the best 👍🏻

Hi Jim, I am 54 y.o. and I am on my goal to be proficient in English. Yes, 54 is not 68, but I managed to improve my level from beginner to advance level in sever years. I always was bad in languages, I had the worst grades at school and university, but I did it, so you definitely can! Good luck!
