They asked me in a job interview, " You are 38 years old. Didn't you want to have kids?"
Hello!
My name is Loren and I am Brazilian.
I've been looking for a new job for a long time and it has not been easy because my country is struggling with a series of crises, year after year.
After having my second graduation, I have had the opportunity to go to some job interviews. I would like to talk here about something unpleasant.
I know that it is forbidden to ask a candidate this kind of question, but here where I live it is not a problem at all if it happens.
I went to about 10 job interviews in the past few months, and when the boss is male they've asked me about this.
The last time, the man said, "You are 38 years old and you know that you don't have much time to have a baby. Aren't you going to have a baby"? Honestly, I felt very bad. Because I want to grow in my career but I also want to have a baby someday.
Well, I know that everything will work out well, but certain things let us down sometimes.
By the way, I am looking for a language exchange from Germany. I want to practice my English skills.
