Ukrainian people, like other Christian countries, that live by Julian calendar, celebrate Christmas on 6th of January. Christmas Eve or we called it "Sviatii Vechir'" filled with nomerous customs and rituals, such as: decorating house, and table cloth with special attributes, performing carols. Here is one my favourite. Коляд, коляд ,коляда У віконце загляда. У різдвяну світлу нічку Запали на радість свічку. Коляду поклич до хати, Щоб Ісуса привітати. Люди добрі, колядуйте, Сина Божого шануйте!

Christmas Eve or, as we call it, "Sviatii Vechir", is filled with numerous customs and rituals, such as decorating homes, and table cloths with special attributes, performing carols.
