Good question. For me they're not. Vets in Spain, who they aren't necessarily Spaniards, do a great job and they charge you accordingly. Everything depends on your preferences. Are 1500€ cell phones expensive? Of course they are but it's seems people do whatever is necessary to get them! See my point?
