Compulsive is something that is a very strong urge or desire to do something. This “compulsive” urge is often so strong that the person who has it is unable to control it or may not even notice that they have the urge. An example of something that’s compulsive is compulsive drug and alcohol abuse, compulsive eating, or compulsive cleaning. People have such a strong desire to do these things that it seems like they have to do them all the time to stay relaxed or in a good mindset. Sometimes “compulsive” can also be used to describe something that is compelling, as in, it attracts people to it. Such as a movie, song, place, etc. -But this isn’t the most common use of the word. I hope this helps!
