For me there is only 3 difficult topics in Thai:

Writing
Reading
Tones

All the rest - no problem.

With practice getting easier to read: more words become familiar and you just know it. Same with writing and tones: more practice giving just right feeling of how it should be. So my rule: constant every day practice, bit by bit, and things are changing :)

For me, the first difficulty is to learn Thai alphabets, after that, it will be writing them.

Also, pronouncing Thai tones correctly and accurately is another difficult thing.

Reading Thai is a lot easier than writing.
I'm confused which alphabet should I use while writing a word. (They have many alphabet for K,M,P,T, blablabla)
We also need to put tones sign. I often forgot to put that sign.
