I'm an Architectual student (Graduated in Ambiental Architecture) and this letter explains the reasons behind my choice to partIcipate in the Erasmus Program. First of all I think that an experience of STUDY abroad study is necessary for a good attainment, especially for an architect. Study abroad means comparison with other people, other ideas, other traditions; today the circulation of ideas is the basis of modern labour economics. Borders are no longer physical; today borders are cultural, but these borders are no longer barriers, they are a surplus value. LearnINGto cross these borders is necessary and the Erasmus program is one of the ways. I like traveling and I like to discover new realities. About my choice of location for Erasmus I put Aachen in the first place becAuse this city is in my opinion one of the European “CapitalS” of history and architecture GermAn architecture was really important for my preparation and i think that study in this city is great opportunity to confront my idea of architecture with the German one.
