7 Spanish false friends to remember


¿Cuántas veces quieres decir una palabra en español que no sabes? No hay problema, tu buscas en tu cerebro la palabra en tu lengua maternal, haces unos cambios y ….!tachán! La dices, a veces aciertas, a veces tiene algo de sentido, pero otras cambias el sentido complete de la frase….¿suena familiar?

Los falsos amigos son dificiles de reconocer por eso en la entrada de hoy  tenéis 7 de ellos, no muy comunes, pero no por eso menos importantes. J

Thanks for that it was very useful.

Actually I made mistake once when I tried to translate "I'm hot" to my Spanish teacher. "I am" = "Estoy". "Hot" = "Caliente". She laughed so much!!

Jajaja i think that "i am hot" is in spanish "tengo calor"

however when american person listen one mexican word and after listen other word but from spain, the people cant understand because mean different
