All the world consumes huge amounts of energy, and the petroleum products have been considered the main resources of energy. the petroleum resources will be consumed someday, are there strong alternatives to satisfy our needs of the energy?
Some countries depend on the sun, winds, waves, and other natural resources. Will these resources be effective and successful to be cheaper, satisfied, or are able to generate bigger amounts of energy?
Do you have any of these alternatives in your country? Are there practical experiments that can prove the effectivity of these alternatives?
Please, share how your country can face this issue.
I speculate the root of the issue consists in how we perceive the renewable energy and where our fund should invest in. More than certainly, we all know renewable energy is better than fossil fuels in a long run, but why so few countries would like to contribute to this potential industry? The sticking point is people or the government is very used to the way they conusme the energy which is very likely to deter the renewable energy to be developed, even less certain vest-interested groups are very unwilling to be deprived of the privilege to hold and control conventional energies. Good and clean energy cannot be bought without pay, then the keynote would be who, why, how to pay the bill. Interestingly, everyone seems to welcome the upcoming new energy, whereas only fewer people are aware that renewable energy has to cost a large amount of fund to develop and cannot wholy replace the conventional fossil fuels in a short term.

@Jack, I agree with you. The cost is a very important factor.
@Darek, Actually, the ecosystem is important also, but there are other types of renewable energy will not affect the ecosystem and neither need huge areas such as waves.
