The best method is to read a newspaper or any kind of article daily and by doing that you will come across so many new words and if you will continue this then automatically you will learn words without cramming.Thank you:)
In some case, rote learning is necessary in the very first beginning, nonethess, learning by heart is not a good method of consolidating your memorization in a long run. Therefore, if you want to fortify your vocabulary for a long time or to store them into your long-term memory, you must be able to develop a new way (or strategies) to pick them up effectively without further loss. The method is never to retain them in one way direction but furthermore in many ways which might include listening, speaking writing and reading.
I listen to podcasts, audio books, audio plays.
When I come across an intresting word, I set a reading mark. I don't put to many of them but the ones I have I relisten them and sometimes I write them down.
I let pass a few days and relisten them.
It works best when there is lots of emotions involved as in an audio drama. Or if I really like the narrator's voice and I really fancy a word. Then it sticks better.
But this is only one of lots of different methods.
Cheers!
Hi, well there are many ways, but, the best is using repetitions, like:
1.-Expensive
2.- Expensive, Car
3.- Expensive, Car, Eat
4.- Expensive, Car, Eat, Meat
5.- Expensive, Car, Eat , Meat, Meal
6.- Expensive, Car, Eat, Meat, Meal, Clean.
Short example of repetitions, every 2 words add one verb do it like from 1 - 10, and go in that way until you learn them, then add 5 more, will be easy to learn and have more memory and pratice:D.
Hope it hepls...
