Making a choise.
Hi People from Italki, I'm an engineering student and I need your opinion. Currently I'm thinking about learning another language which could help me in the future. My options are Portuguese and French, but I want to know, learners and native speakers, which one could be the best option for me? Please tell me why and pros and cons. If an engineer reads this, please, let me know your opinion, it´s important. Thanks people.

I heard this morning on the radio that Sweden is short of engineers, there aren't enough engineers to fill all job openings, so they're trying to recruit from our neighbouring country Norway. In Trollhättan (a town) they need to recruit 500 engineers right away, like now.

This depends a lot on where you live and where you would consider moving. In Europe, for an Engineer, the most useful languages are English and German, in this order, French being more useful than Portuguese. But in Americas it is certainly different.

ohh well, currently I´m learning English and German, but a friend told me in France are several opportunities to engineers too and French is spoken in some countries, but in America is also Brazil, where are tons of resources.
