Anyone speaking Swissgerman here? :)

Started to learn German on my own but in parallel would be fun to learn a few phrases or sentences in Schwyzerdütsch. I like the sound of that language quite a lot but of course understand nothing :) The language search criteria here only included German ones so couldn't find from there.

So far I only know eis, zwöi, drü, vier, füfi and Mis auto ist cooler aus dis but I've realised everyone speaks that language anyway the way they like. So it seems quite an interesting challenge.

Tere Maili. I speak Swiss German, you can ask me if you have any questions. Keep in mind though that there is actually no such thing as "Swiss German", we don't have a standardized Swiss German language. In most official texts we use standard German (Hochdeutsch), in everything less formal we write or speak our own personal dialect. They call it a dialect continuum. Thus, "eis, zwöi, drü, vier, fü(ü)f" and "Mis Auto isch cooler aus dis" sound like they come from someone from Bern, someone from Zurich would say "eis, zwäi, drü, vier, foif" and "Mis Auto isch cooler als dis"... Head aega! :)

and I would say:

“ains, zwai, drei, vier, fümf (or fimf)” and “myy Auti isch kuuler as dyns”.  :-)

I saw a comment by someone the other day, on the topic of accents or fluency. If you go through the entries made the last 1-2 days you might find that entry.

Search for a native German speaker from Switzerland. There is a "from" field when you look for a language partner.
