Hello people,
I went to Japan like 5 years ago for a study year abroad and it was amazing! I lived in Sapporo, Hokkaido and it was the best year of my life. I got to try all kinds of Japanese food as well as skyrocket my Japanese level from nothing to decent. Also I got to learn snowboarding as it snows for like 5 months in Hokkaido. So, I wanna know where you guys have been in Japan and what it was like.
P.S Was too lazy to write this in Japanese but feel free to comment in Japanese if ya like! ;)
Hi!
I lived in Japan for 4 years, from 2001 to 2005, and I just loved it... I met my husband over the internet when he was already there, so living in Japan was awesome, although we worked hard (at least 12 hours a day), the country and it's people are so amazing that it was worth every single day. I've learnt to speak Japanese too, but now I'm not talking to any native speaker and forgot a lot of vocabulary I used to know... We only talk in Japanese with each other when we don't want the others to understand us, hahaha!
I lived in the Kansai region, so I loved to go to Nagoya and Osaka for shopping when I had a day off. The food was delicious and we plan to go back there on vacation eventually, maybe even go back to live there when we're both retired.
See ya!
