Hi, I want to start practicing for the TOEFL test and I would like to know if someone here has any experience about it.
Thanks in advance!.
I took TOEFL years ago before going to Cornell for further studies in hotel management.. I took the test head on without review or any preparation at all. At that time I had no interaction with Americans at all. On top of it the person giving the test was from Texas and the Texas twang is difficult to understand. It was not really difficult as I thought it was. TOEFL does not have any passing or failing score, higher educational institutions set their own scores.
TOEFLis a combination of reading, listening, writing and speaking.
I am sure you will do well . Good luck!
The most useful advice that I can give to you regardless the content of the test: Be prepared to answer the questions quickly! When I took the TOEFL I barely could think about any particular question. I think that between each listening question the time was just 10 seconds or less.
