Let me get right to the point. How do you practice your accent and intonation by yourself? What I mean here is mostly about the ups and downs or the peaks and valleys of the changes in your voice pitch and voice tone, but also about how you go about your accent in general.

You can hear all about it on my blog www.dailymotion.com/englishwithjoseph Pitch and tone is often neglected by teachers because many people believe its not part of English language learning. To get it right you need to consider your breathing too.
You can practice alone using the "shadow method".

I use a variety of ways. I listen and repeat, record myself and analyse. There are lots of books by Wells and Trudgill, for instance, from which I get theoretical description. Finally, there's praat software.
