Logging your study time and activities

I recently watched many videos on learning a language, and many of those people who are learning more than one language keep more or less detailed logs of their activities and languages.

Does anyone here have experience with this? How do you do it? Does anyone have sample pictures / charts to share?

I want to start a log, but have no idea how to layout it, to make it readable. I am learning multiple languages at a time, so logging all of these activities  would probably get quite messy...... Any ideas / tips?

I guess it depends on how much detail you want to record and what you want to do with the information. If you just want to track time, you could take a calendar and colour in any days where you reach your language goal (e.g. study 30 minutes a day). You could use a different colour highlighter for each language.

For something more complex, you could create a spreadsheet with days across top and then languages down the side. You could then analyze the info (e.g. how much time did I spend on French this month?)

I wouldn't do it, because I'd panic.

If you find it helpful, you can make a goals' list for each language, add due dates and try to stick to it. Nothing huge, I think 70-100 entries are enough.

Unfortunately  I can't add some pics there to show my progress. :(

I'm using It's a special program for russian people who learn english, however if you want I can send you some screenshots via e-mail/skype, I guess it might be usefull to organize your log

You can write a log (and read other logs, too, but it's time consuming) on
There is a special section dedicated to logs and you'll see all kind of logs, ressources and manners of learning languages.

Wordpress sounds a bit too complex, I don't want to spend hours writing about my learning.

I write the languages I study into my calendar, but this seems very basic.....
