I've eaten at a Bengali restaurant once before. The food is delicious, a little like Indian. A friend of mine was Bengali, and he proposed this restaurant one night. Also a singer I like is Bengali. But that is all I know about it.

Lots of different dialects. One named siletti. That seems to be the popular form where i live. There are lots of floods. Popular food is fish, bat, pan. Lots of the people can understand hindi and urdu.
