Minja, welcome! If you checked "Notebook" and "Answers" sections, you must have noticed that any question is answered by several Russians, and every entry is corrected several times (not aways correctly. though:)))  We will certainly help.

So don't hesitate to ask questions! I don't mean 'in Answers'.... as for me, this forum thread fits well too:) But could you ask something more specific?

We can say things like "жи/ши are always written with И", or "цы- and ци- are both used, no rules here... though in endings it is -цы". But we can't ist all the rules at onse:)

General advice:

1. I think, reading a lot is necessary. And may be (combined with corrected writing) suffifient.
You have learned English orthography, despite they have almost no rules!:) Russian can't be harder.

Audio dictations only help to check you knowlege, when you are native... But when you are a freighn learner, they help to check you knowlege/ability to hear Russian phonemes. And may be some basic rules of orthography.

2. Even if you can learn it with reading and writing... Does it really make sense to distinguish бе/бэ/дъе/дье etc. on writing, without being able to pronounce them differently?
Or hear the difference?

So likely you have problems with phonetics too:)

3. I guss you may also have probems with endings. Then it is rather 'morphology'.

You can get the most out of skype if someone will dictate a text and you will write it in russian and than if mistakes made, correct it together with native speaker.

All makes mistakes, it's okay.

I advice to listen russian speech for an hour every day, but it's must be without scripts/subtitles.

And to read the russian books, even if you understand less half meanings. It help to remember you how to write the words.

To KP:
