When we eat spaghetti, we usually use both spoon and fork in Japan.
I heard some living in the states also use both.
But on the other hand, people in Italy don't use a spoon when they eat spaghetti.

When spaghetti first became popular in the UK in the 1970s, this is how we were told was the 'proper' way to eat it. Note that you're not actually eating with the spoon - it's just an extra implement to help you roll the spaghetti neatly onto the fork.

Most of the Filipinos use fork for spaghetti. In fact, I don't know anybody who uses both, personally.
