Sentences in Japanese I have realized in my state of self studying Japanese that I struggle with forming sentences. I have been studying vocabulary, but I have no idea how to put it all into an intelligent sentence. When I do try to form sentences, they become incredibly simple and almost childish. What resources can I use to fix this problem?

Maybe Tatoeba will be useful. http://tatoeba.org/eng/

There are several thousand Japanese example sentences, varying from extremely simple to something an educated native adult speaker would say. You can get a better idea on how use certain grammar points, the correct context to use certain words and how to express certain things.

I think you must use a book to learn grammar. I usually recommend Minna no Nihongo.
