I'm reading from here ( http://www.singjupost.com/breaking-the-language-barrier-by-tim-doner-at-tedxteen-2014-transcript/ ) but missing the part when Tim speaks on a foreign languages
Tell me what do you think about it. What do I need to fix?
How terrible is my accent?
You needn't have given any more than about 30 seconds of audio.
Don't worry, it wasn't terrible. However, what struck me was how almost all of your syllables were short. In English, we use a "strong-weak-strong-weak" pattern when we speak, and even Tim Doner's quick American accent had this rhythm. You also squashed words that needed to be pronounced properly (polyglot, attention, highlighted were all squashed), plus the word "go" had a very strange diphthong, and you pronounced "Tim" as "Team".
You just need to slow down a little, and relax into the natural rhythm of the language.
