@joseph You video is very useful, thank you so much for sharing. :) At the moment, I'm shadowing speeches of Stephen fry and Sir Ken Robinson which indeed is helping me more than I thought it would. However I thought of this idea on my own(using shadowing not just to get hold of speech music but also soften your accent) . So I wanted to know if experts like yours suggest standard ways to soften one's English accent. :)
@Micheal Chambers , Thanks for the attention. I actually do that many a time every week. I test and try different things on my own to see which ones help me better. In fact before trying Sir Ken Robinson and Stephen Fry I had tried Jack Dee, Stuart Lee, Richard Howard, Sir Winston Churchill , her majesty the Queen's speeches, David Camroon, Theresa May, Brain cox and people like them, but only to find out its Sir Ken Robinson whom I find easy to follow. So every time I try something new I record my speech and put it here asking for feedback to see if to continue it or not. Because as a non native speaker to reflect some sort of nativity you are having to start right from how to say hello, thank you and to a level where you can deliver a speech on a particular topic. It is very hard to listen to your own voice and decide if that feels good or not. I'm being very thankful to experts like you and @joseph and many others, who take time to reach out and help English learners like me. Much appreciated. :)
Now, why short time? Here is my 30 mins of recording I did just this morning.
