I would just practice for as long as you can everyday and quiz yourself a few times a week to see how many English words you can remember or how many English sentences you can remember, that's what I did with English until I became fluent in it. If you practice it everyday, and expose yourself to English everyday then you should be fluent in no time, it didn't take me long to become fluent in English.

Do you mind if I correct your post?

Mastering any language is not easy.  I would say to never stop learning. Many people study for years and believe that they are fluent and continue to make errors.  Try to imitate educated native speakers. Learn slang as someone suggested but do not use it unless you are certain that it is the right situation.  Read a lot and pay attention when you are reading to spelling, grammar, word choice, punctuation, etc. Do not just read to know the story. In fact, it may be a good idea to read something where you already know what happens.  Try a book that you know well from your own language.

Good luck!

I would start with a solid base. Know your grammar rules and as another person stated, the 1000 words on your own. Once you feel like you have a good base, I would try to watch English tv shows that way you can pick up slang words or sayings. It'll make your speaking sound more native rather than straight out a text book. Good luck!

To start, look up these 1000 words in your own language: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Category:1000_English_basic_words
