Hello everyone!
I would like to know how Italki points work..is there anyone who knows something about that?
I know there's a staff who work to help us, but I think opening this discussion may be an opportunity to talk to you, and maybe receive some help discussing about that, indeed...
Best!

I wonder if the italki points will be abolished soon - they're only useful for seeing how active a user has been on the site. Other language sites have tried a points system, but it was open to abuse: on these other sites, I saw members make false corrections (or non-corrections), repeat their own answers, and even steal answers from other members to present as their own work... all for a couple of points here and there.
If anyone comes up with a very good use for the points, which is also fair to all members, then we'd be keen to know about it! :)
Hi
It is a system that gives members point based on their activities like writing articles, notebook entries, discussions, answering questions and etc. I think it is a measure that shows that how determined and serious a member is about learning languages. In another word it shows that is he/her here to learn languages or he/she is just fooling around! So, you can't get lessons or anything from the points.
Thank you!
So it is just a number, isn't it?
And when I amass lots of points, I can only leave them where they are..
So curious! But useful :)
Regards, Feisal :)
