I don't know exactly the method, however, I use the idea of the method

Ex: I read the book "the notebook" and the same I listen the audiobook.

Yes, this helps a lot.. I noticed that my English improved much more.

Sometimes, the audio is too fast (for me) so I put slowly in the media player.

It works for me!
