I think watching series is a great way to learn. You'll be exposed to a lot of the phrases and idioms that English speakers use, and it's a very funny show.

Why you say that ?  Yes, i think the quality is much important than quantity . For example, my classmates often read the words with wrong  pronunciation in the morning ,  it is meaningless for her even though practice lots of times. SO we should ensure the quality when we practice something.

I suggest studying a short extract of a show, maybe 3 or 4 minutes long. You may find that listening to a whole episode and trying to understand it all is exhausting.
