How do you say "to miss something" in Indonesian?

For example, if I want to say, "he missed the target", or "she missed all of her appointments", what would I say?  Dia melewatkan target?  Dia melewatkan semua janjinya?

Thank you.

Hi Adam :)

I think you should see the context of the situation first.

"He missed the target"

You can use "Dia tidak mencapai target" if he have an objective but didn't get it. For example someone doing archery, he missed the target because he can't shoot the dot (target) precisely.

or you can say "Dia tidak memenuhi target" if he have some objectives but didn't make all the objectives done. For example i must sell 5 apples, but i'm only make 3 of it, so i missed the target because i can't sell all the apples.

"She missed all of her appoinments"

You can use "Dia tidak menepati semua janjinya". I think it have similliar context with the apple selling as i mention above.

Semoga bermanfaat :D
