What's the difference?

Hi guys! I was wondering: if there's, what's the difference between stressed and stressed out? Thanks to anyone who will answer.

If one is using these terms about a person, then there is no difference.

However, one could also describe an object, such as a bridge, or the metal of an aeroplane as being "stressed," meaning that it is being put under physical strain.  But they could never be described as 'stressed out.'
