In many countries, people now wear Western clothes (suits, jeans) rather than traditional clothing. Why? Is this a positive or negative development?

I believe western clothes are more confortable. In many country people have worn jean and shirt for job, walk, business meeting, court, etc. and they were well dressed always. The tissues are more and more modern, easy laundry and no need ironing. The western clothes are have worn for people of all ages.
