That Lucky Native...
I have seen lots of people here being natives of several languages that I wish I could have been that lucky, too; However, it's not an excuse for me to limit myself.

So my curious question is for all people like me: If you could choose two languages to be native of, what would they be and why?

My choice:
I'd keep my Portuguese because today I can tell how hard it is and it also opens doors to get to know easily other languages such as Spanish, Italian... not mentioning that there are things here that only Brazilians are able to do and I'd feel very sad to lose it all (crazy/hilarious thing lol).

My second would be French due to its pronunciation which I don't find it easy to speak, but at the same time it's one of the most beautiful accent I have ever heard.

How about you?

Only two, huh!

Persian because it's beautiful and opens up a new world for scholars, Portuguese because I find it to be the most fascinating Romance language.

Mandarin and Japanese

First of all, Mandarin is my mother tongue. English and Malay is my working language at workplace and school. Since I am a Malaysian, I have bunch of chances to interact with people from different race. I would not choose English despite it's Lingua Franca of the world. As I said , I have a lot of chances to practice English in my country. It's compulsory for all Malaysian students to take English since elementary school level.

I choose Japanese because Japanese culture is my favorite. Their dedication toward work really inspire me.

Quechua instead of Spanish for sure. And a sign language. I wouldn't mind having to learn so-called 'useful' languages from scratch.

I am a native speaker  of three languages however I can't write one of them - Urdu

I would keep Punjabi because the poetry is amazing but I would also love to be able to speak Spanish as I have always wanted to learn it - and  French too!
