Can you be more specifically about Eastern countries? And are you asking about education or just about learning languages?

I don't know about differences amongst Eastern nations' education systems.
But I have heard that, in general, most Eastern nations favour a heavily grammatical approach to language teaching.
This is an approach that has "fallen from favour," in Western countries.
"Fallen from favour," means that something is no longer popular or used much.
