@Mike,  Are you messing with him or is that actually a serious answer?

If someone I just met ever asked me that I would be wondering if he was serious or was implying something sexual.  I would be very uncertain about how to interpret that and would probably be uncomfortable. 


@Marco Pal-   If you even think about using Mark´s suggestion you should be aware of the very common slang usage of the word ¨beaver.¨ (Here is a link to it in the Urban Dictionary http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=beaver&utm_source=search-action)  

My suggestion is pretty basic and direct.  ¨I would like to get to know you better.  Tell me about yourself.¨

I'm laughing at some of the comments. Marco, don't ask for suggestions. The most important suggestion is be yourself so she will feel comfortable around you. How about, "Hello, how are you?.........My name is........." ......."
