If you are lonely even though you are surrounded by people, maybe they are the wrong people.

Try to find someone here (by looking in the Notebook entries) who is learning Mandarin and has English as their first language, and start helping them with their effort to learn Mandarin. If you find a few people (maybe one or two) and help them regularly, you learn to know them a little bit, and will perhaps feel somewhat less lonely. In return, they might help to correct your English and you might find a pen-pal. It's not the same thing as having a lot of friends at home, but having a pen-pal is not an entirely bad thing either and it might help with your feelings of loneliness.

yes, but sometimes i can't say what i want to say in english. my english is not that good yet.
