This journey to fluency in Spanish has been fun and exciting, I am always on edge and ready to learn more. There are times when I communicate with others without any blocks, but then there are times where I am uncomfortable. Reality hits me and I realize, I have a lot more to learn about my favorite language. Yet giving up is not an option (no voy a parar), nunca vas a llegar a ninguna parte, si no lo intentas...
So, I wrote down some phrases that I could not communicate, in which I am looking for help with the translation. I am ready to surprise my Spanish speaking friends, with some additional learning. Here are some of the phrases, anyone that is willing and able please feel free. Your assistance will be much appreciated...
1) How have you've been? I hadn't talked to you in awhile.
2) Keep in touch, my friend?
3) I am glad you understand.
4)I wish you would have told me, maybe I could've helped.
5) I had never left, I've been here the entire time.
6) I am here to listen whenever you need me.
7) I am just a call away
8) I have had hard times as well
9) A friend will never give up on a true friend
10) You can call me at any time
1) ¿Qué tal? No he hablado contigo hace tiempo.
2) ¿Nos mantenemos en contacto, amigo mío? (no tengo muy claro el sentido de esta frase en inglés)
3) Me alegro de que lo entiendas
4) Ojalá me lo hubieras dicho, tal vez te podría haber ayudado
5) No me he marchado en ningún momento, he estado aquí todo el tiempo
6) Estoy aquí para escuchar cada vez que me necesites
7) Estoy a una llamada de distancia
8) También he tenido momentos difíciles (...una mala racha)
9) Un amigo nunca abandona a un verdadero amigo
10) Puedes llamarme en cualquier momento
1) Como pudo haber sido, no he hablado contigo en un tiempo.
