What TV Shows do you watch?

Watch stuff in English may turn easier the challenge of learning it...

I believe that it's easier to practice with people who like things that you like too, it's easier to share the experience and keep a good conversation. 

So I'd like to know if you watch TV Shows and what are the TV Shows you guys watch...

*It can be any genre since comedy, action, thriller, drama, TED talks, documentaries, etc.

My friend, Asya, came to America several years ago and she listened to pop music and watched popular TV shows. She is perfectly fluent in English now. I wish I could learn Russian as quickly as she learned to speak English! TED talks are definitely a good choice, too. This is a good time to investigate American TV because in the fall, a lot of new shows premiere and a lot of popular shows begin new episodes. I think it is good to have a combination of music to listen to and TV shows to watch because you can interact with the language in different ways. I like talent shows: The Voice, X Factor, America's Got Talent, etc. You get to experience both music and conversation that way. :)

Hi Ana

I started with the TV serie "Sense8" to improve my English. It has characters of different nationalities and the history goes very slow, so I can understand it. I normally see it without subtitles the first time, and with subtitles the second one. I hope this will be usefull for you.

I think so too! I watch TV shows to learn English as well.
My favorites are "The Walking Dead" and "The Big Bang Theory". Eapecially comedy is good because one episode longs 20 min (not too long) and the actors keep talking all the time. There are a lot of helpful terms.
The Walking Dead is just my favorite. It might not good to learn English, but I still love this TV series. I can't stop watching them. Haha:)

I just watched The Man in the High Castle and Stranger Things. Do you know these shows? They were both really good!!!

That's good to hear that Sara, I hope you can learn Russian fast too. Thanks for the tips... those talent shows are really good!
