I think that no matter what sport are we talking about there is always going to be corruption and greed by those who are in charge, but these has been hapening since before we were born and people get used to.

Every country should be more precocious about this because it ruins entertainment for all the people , for example in my country a few years ago every team member of the national team got banned for life due to arranging games and losing on purpose and now our team has no quality players.

Yes Jack. Agreed. It's a shame that politicians gets to involved in our sports. We have the same problem here in my country where the current government in power is making rules that each sporting code must apply in their criteria in order to receive financial support and backing towards hosting international tournaments like World cups etc. Rules such as the number of various racial representations in the national and provincial teams. I support and agree with representation. But only based on merit. Nothing else. They call it the Quotas system. International sporting governing bodies should get more involved in puting a stop to governments or being able to implement such systems and rules in sporting codes.

I would have to say that more and many affairs have to be commercialized to work well and of course that include sports. In other words, sport events seem unable to be held without political exercise that brings about corruption.  That is quite a sad story but apparently that would be the truth that all fans have to face.

Jelena...great cimments. I agree with you. I follow the EPL closely and I can't but wonder if everything is "legally managed". The money going around in the EPL is huge amounts and it must be a bookies dream to work in. Which opens more doors for cheats looking for a quick pound. Having said that....the EPL has the best players in the world along with the best managers (in my opinion) :) so it is entertaining to watch. Great that you know yoursport and EPL. Would be nice to talk more with you.

I don't know what to think or say about corruption in general. I mean, certainly we are aware of corruption in sports,to think that all transfers, scores etc are clear it would be an illusion. However, considering how big Sam's role was, he shouldn't have allowed himself to speak about such subject. And yes, I agree "difficult to watch" is the right expression. Lately, I don't feel so excited about the transfer windows or the start of the new season (EPL) I don't feel as hyped as before. Money ruined it. Players are overpriced. Despite all, football is a beautiful game, still :)
