Some of these quotations are very funny, others are very emotional but all of them are true!
I agree with what you said answering a user's comment, that it is important to be brief when sending these kind of messages.
A very enjoyable discussion!
Your examples are great...
Here are a couple of suggestions:
- If you want to look AT life in another way, let talk to old people or children.
- Everything happened THAT HAPPENS has its reason so stop worrying. What will be will be. [or EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON]
THANK YOU Phương
Alina... It would not be wrong to write "the president", but usually, when we refer to something specific and use the definite article 'the' then we would also include the preposition 'of', as in "the President of the United States" or "the President of [company name or university, etc]".
The quotation is referring to the president of the country, thus it would not be necessary to specify which president because there is only one. Also, the author of that quote was a comedian, so brevity in humour often works best.
Thanks for meaningful statements!
"Winning isn't everything." People usually say that when they won. :)
"Sometimes you need to talk to a five year old just so you can understand life again." There is a similar statement:If you want to look life in another way, let talk to old people or children.
Everything happened has its reason so stop worrying. What will be will be.
Please correct me if there is any mistake.
I have a question!
why don't you use any articles for 'president'? Like 'the president'.
