Learning Chinese - I thought of starting several threads for learning chinese in this group. One for 'numbers', one for 'date and time', for 'locations and distances', 'food and drink' and so on... All terms (/words) written in english, 汉字 and pīn yīn. Numbers, for example, starting with numbers (1, 2, 3,...), of course. But when do you youse yī or yāo for '1'. When ér or liǎng for '2'? I hope everyone can add a little more to the topic. Later we could add them to the 'resources' section. The closed and most perfect ones of them. What do you think about it?

Thank you for your contributions. I paused because I learned about an italki project to build a modular language guide.

When we play paper-card,we use 1 is yao.also some special "number combination" ,for example:110 、120、119 、114 and so on.Another case,iF the 2 express the weight ,we call 2 to liang.
