In Ukraine it is legal unfortunately. It is absurd when to make some operations (to remove an eye, for some medical reasons for example) you need a lot of permissions, but to take away life - anybody can come and do). Yes, humans are very intelligent now with scientific progress but nobody can  create one flower and make it grow or become alive again.

I am completely against it not only because of my religious believes,  I think just humanity can never reach peace and prosperity with such approach and disrespect for life and laws of nature.

In the United States, it is legal.

This is an area of law that is mostly state law. Before 1973, it was different in each of the fifty states.

In 1973, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that a state cannot make abortion illegal. They said that a state that made abortion completely illegal was violating the Constitution of the United States, which is a higher law than state law.

So, since 1973 abortion has been legal throughout the United States.

However, state laws and regulations make it easier in some states and harder in others. In recent years, social conservatives have succeeded in making it more difficult.

In Austria it's legal when:

done within the first 3 months of pregnancy or

the woman's life is endangered because of the pregnancy or

it's likely that the child is going to have a serious disability.
