If you'll make TOEFL, start doing the last exams and try study what is more hard for you. If you'll make IELTS, search for help in the British Council website and their application on Google play or App store. They have amazing tools for listening and grammar! I hope I had help you!

I started reviewing grammar first and then kept writing 1 topic a day. At the same, I tried to listening news on bbc.com. Well, I kept doing these stuffs for 2 months then I decided to take an TOEFL exam. I got 89 from 120.

Of all the TOEFL manuals I tried, I found Barron's to be the best, because it was the toughest. Their level of difficulty was most similar to the actual test, while other manuals seemed to be too easy. Experiences differ, of course; this is just my 2 cents.

I didn't even have to buy any of those guides, just went to the local library or bookstore and studied it there.

You may start with IELTs class around your city then you will know what these exams are exactly like . After you have learned the principles, rules of the game, you may start to focus on your own proficiency by yourself.
