I would like to be able to speak Korean, and to drastically improve my Russian, because many of my neighbors in my apartment building speak Korean or Russian. And I would like to be able to speak both Japanese and Scots Gaelic because I am very interested in those countries' arts, history, and culture.

If I could somehow magically learn all the languages I wanted to, I would start with the six official languages of the United Nations: I already speak English, so I'd have to drastically improve my Russian and learn Arabic, Mandarin, French and Spanish. Then if I could also learn Swahili and Malay-Indonesian, I could probably talk to most people in most of the places in the world.

I would like to speak French and if I started learning a new language, it would be French I guess.
I'm from Libya and learning French language will help me to better understand and communicate with people from our neighbouring countries because of some reasons.
1- French is the official language in two of our neighbouring countries, Chad and Niger.
2- People in Tunisia and Algeria mix Arabic with French language when they speak.
3- French language is commonly used in many other African countries.
4- It's also the language of France, one of our neighbours in the other side of the Mediterranean basin.
Thank you.
