Reported speech

Hello all

I need some help with reported speech. I have this sentence in direct speech and I'm not sure how to transform it into reported speech. I need to use the verb tell.

"You must do the homework soon,Jane", she said

Thanks in advance for your help

In order to transform "must" into a reported speech form, you will have to use the construction "have/ had to".  Especially if we assume that this is reported later, and not immediately after (in which case must might be appropriate...).

So I would say:

You must do the homework soon,Jane", she said = She told Jane that she had to do the homework soon.

You are correct.  Leave off the 'to' after remind and I think it's perfect.

Thank you so much Stephanie. I wasn't sure about that.

How about this sentence: "Remember to buy a map,Ann", He said. I have to use the verb remind

I think is like this: He reminded (to) Ann to buy a map

Is that correct?Should I use to after reminded?
