I imagine it would be easier to find someone who has around the same level as you. If you want a native speaker, usually you'll need to find a teacher. As a native speaker, I receive many requests every week, even though I'm not listed as a language partner. I simply don't have time. I don't even manage to speak to my 3 existing language partners every week.

I think a good option is booking a lesson with a teacher from here. In this way, you could practice the conversation skill and continue to express yourself writing here in notebooks and discussions. It have been working fine for me.

I also think so, sometimes when you think you find a person that will continue talking to you, few days and they are "gone". I guess you have to keep common interests on topics. Whatsapp is also a great way to every now and again talk a bit. Don't give up. You will find eventually. 

I think it`s not so difficult to find a language exchange partner because many people are ready to chat with you. The main problem is to find a person with whom you can talk on a regular basis. Time difference, gender can play their negative roles but if you lack common interests communication will be inefficient. Any language is like a musical instrument, to play it well you need great moivation. And what can be better than talking to someone who share your interests. You should try to find such people. Of course, it`s not an easy task but knock the door and it will be opened one day.

I think that t seems difficult because of many reasons, for instance:  everyone is looking for a native speaker, some people search for a partner who is different in gender and may be because of the different in time.
