Learning French...

I want to start learning French. Because for me even a profanity sounds like a bird song :)

Firstly, I want to learn reading and pronouncing.

So, what would you recommend me? Maybe some books or mobile applications or sites?

I actually just started this group on Discord (it's like Skype) for English/ French native speakers and learners. I like to use this because the quality of the voice calls are usually so much better. Would you be interested to join?

Здравствуйте. Я тоже изучаю французский язык. For beginners, I'd say ditch those self-help books. Go straight to YouTube where you'd find a great repository of courses (some good and some not so). For starters, I'd recommend French in Action. Look for it on YouTube. It helped me quite a fair bit when I was learning French.

You can start off with "FSI French Introduction to Phonology Course". It's an amazing free resource. French has difficult pronuntiation but its rules are easy to master.
