How did you know italki? What do you think of it? I knew italki from a British uploader who always uploads his videos on Chinese websites. I have used italki for about a year. Although it has something imperfect, I feel it is a really good language learning website. I have learnt a lot on it.

I found out about it thanks to the 'almighty' google. Basically I used another platform which I posted my entries on to be edited. As it wasn't good enough I started googling other similar websites and I stumbled upon this site. Plus, I discovered it thanks to future learn as well. I guess italki is the best platform for language learning about. There are also others but not as well-crafted as Italki. Of course, there are some flaws, but all in all I'd give it 9 stars.

I don't remember how I learned about it. Everything having to do with paid lessons works well. I like the online scheduling tool, I like the fact that it converts time zones and hours for me. All the teachers I've encountered (two professional teachers and two community tutors) have been excellent and professional.

I like the "professional distance" the site puts between me and teachers. I haven't had anything even close to a "dispute," but, even so, I like the fact that italki escrows (holds) payments and doesn't release them until I confirm the session.

I've had one or two times when I was a no-show and the teacher forgave me and rescheduled the lesson, and other times when we rescheduled by mutual agreement. And I've now had three "instant tutoring" sessions and they've all gone well.

The mechanism for meeting language companions has worked well, too, although it is surprisingly hard for people to coordinate schedules when they are living their daily lives.

The online "community" features are not so valuable. They're OK but they're not a way to learn a language.

There is a dude on youtube. He talks about languages and advertises italki.

I knew it on Future Learn, on line free university, when I took the Spanish course , which I quit though. I want my favorite discussions to keep on some kind of book marks. They disappears while ago. It's annoying.

I found out about italki.com last summer, from my English teacher, with whom I had Skype lessons. As he is a very good teacher, I thought, he must have adviced me something worth trying, so I created an account here and very glad now. :)
