ParloFoil (TM) software for mobile phones / cellphones

I'm trying to find a UK English version of ParloFoil.  It's an app for mobile phones / cellphones designed for students of English.  The idea is that the student speaks English into the phone and the app gives them a score for the naturalness of their pronunciation and intonation.

I've only got the US English version which means that I get a good score when I do my John Wayne impersonation and say things like "get off yer hoss and drink yer milk".  But my score goes right down when I speak normally.  Any ideas, anyone?  Thanks.

Would you like to borrow my version? It gives top marks for 'Toodle pip' and 'Jolly good show, old bean'.

Only works until midday today, of course. ;)

Want to try the down-under version?  'G'day, mate' and 'Chuck another prawn on the barbie, cobber'?

You get bonus points for Kylie Minogue impressions on that one.

Thanks guys for sharing that. It's a real gift for students. No sooner had I heard it than I downloaded those apps. Google play offers them only today for free. By the way Michael, there's a Brummie version there as well. If you had had it , Ozzy would've been recognised.

I had never heard from this application, and I find it curious / interesting to get a score depending on the pronunciation and the accent.

I will never have a proper English accent, but it is very difficult for me to know how close or far I am from it. This app might be an interesting tool if it works well.

I know you were looking for the British version of this app, but I didn't even know of the existence of this online resources. So thank you for the information!

Thanks, Su.Ki.  Send me a PM quickly and let me know how I can get hold of it.
