应该是 “对牛谈情” 吧?“对牛弹琴” 听上去奇怪,应为我家人一直说是 “跟牛商量感情” 的意思。如果没听过的话,那可能是某个地区的话。

我最喜欢的是“对牛谈情”。小时候我妈一天到晚用这句话讲我爸,因为他经常跟小小孩或者宠物讲一些他们没办法了解的话。

My favorite idiom for calling out someone acting like a fool is 对牛谈情 (duì niú tán qíng). This idiom means "discussing one's feelings with a cow" (literally: "toward cow discuss feelings") and is used to call someone out for wasting their breath spouting useless words at someone or something who/that doesn't understand what they're saying at all. When I was younger, my dad loved to talk to babies and pets about sports stars and statistics, so every time he'd start doing it, my mom would call him out for 对牛谈情.
