What is the hardest thing about learning English?

If you are learning English, which hurdles are the hardest to jump?

Every student is different. Think about yourself. What drives you insane about English?

Well I technically have been actively studying it since I was 18 which was when I started taking up seriously. Before that I used to listen to a lot of music as well as writing on the internet with foreign people which made me learn quite a lot, both regarding to vocabulary and listening. But as a teenager I was completely unaware that I was positively doing something that was going to help me out in the long run.

As for now though, I've been still having troubles when trying to express myself in a proper manner. The compelling answer to that issue would be that I rarely get to practice speaking on a daily basis but I try not to dwell on that matter. So what is the hardest thing about learning English for me specifically? I would definitely have to say it is being able to speak in a reasonable way and hold a conversation without much struggle haha.

In different stages, a learner faces different hardship in diverse troubles.

In the early stage of learning, a learner has to collect a considerable number of vocabulary, basic words or phrases to prompt his reading and listening to some extent, after that, the learner would be able to use learned words or phrases to converse with other speakers.

In the middle stage of learning,  a learner must learn to use these learned words or phrases to express oneself more fluently through which he can express himself more properly.

In the late stage of learning, words, phrases are not very important to be absorbed. What is more important is the speaker's proficiency to organize and articulate these learned words and phrases to express one's ideas with delicacy.

Sometimes I'd like to express my ideas with precise or authentic English, but I just can't.

For example, someone is crying, but actually he is weeping.  Choosing a correct word is a little bit difficult for me.

Listening, informal chatting and speaking among native speakers especially they are using local slangs to communicate and giggle.
